Founder/CEO

Agriculture has always been a part of Robert's life. Throughout his childhood and early adult life he was either on livestock farms in the Piedmont region of NC or tobacco and row crop farms outside of Raleigh. After receiving a degree in Animal Science degree from the Ag Institute at NCSU he managed a farm in Pelham NC and where he and his wife Vicki started their family. After moving back to their hometown of Statesville and working with a few local Agribusinesses, they decided to try working for their selves. In 1984 Piedmont Farm Systems was established in a rented barn in western Iredell county. Over the years Robert has been able to own, manage and grow PFS from its humble beginnings to a strong and successful small business that values its employees and strives to continue to be a leader in the commercial livestock and grain industries.
